This is one of the valuable lessons I’ve learnt in my over 5 years as a software engineer. Not every request/question demands an outright response.

A developer’s credibility is also in responding occasionally with “I’ll have to get back to you with an answer”. Every single time you return with answers that prove more valuable and game changing for your superiors and team, the more trust and credibility you build for yourself.

People are now patient to wait on your opinions.
